Cameron McKinley-Rodgers

After many lovely years roaming about and telling love stories with a camera, I have decided to change things up a little...well a lot actually.

I realised while documenting weddings over the years that I was a sucker for a love story and that moments like these were so precious and fleeting, we should make a massive deal out of them.

To quote one of my favourite film characters Ferris Bueller,

‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it’.

When it comes to the people in our lives who we love the absolute most; and those moments that shape and define our lives, it’s too damn important not to stop and make one hell of a fuss about it…and I want to be the guy that does it with you!

So, I decided to step away from the cameras and retrain as a Celebrant.

A mate of mine thought I was training to become a TV compare or a talent show host…which made me roar with laughter.I explained that I would be officiating weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies. He responded by saying that I’d be pretty good at either of the jobs, though I think I’ll keep my focus of the celebrations and leave the other stuff to Larry Emdur.
